Platinum Friesians is very proud to offer this rare and exceptional FPS Registered Friesian Gelding for sale. Not only does he have correct dressage training, but he is also trick trained.
Born April 17th 1996, this 16 hh, well trained boy has much experience in numerous settings. For over a year, he has been in training with one of Canada's top riders, and has enjoyed this year’s show season in training level competition. I say 'enjoyed' because Othello attracts lots of attention and enjoys all those extra loves and pats, not to mention treats. He is now trained well beyond training level – see video clip of what he knows.
The only word to describe him is – STUNNING! His mega mane reaches down his legs, his thick, long tail is amazing, AND what about those feathered feet! His face is one of THE prettiest we have seen.

He LOVES attention, and his most favourite thing is having his hair done. His hair gene must have been passed down from his mother’s sire – the outstanding Preferent FPS Approved Stallion, Oege (no longer living). Othello’s sire is Tjserk – the FPS Approved Stallion known for movement. Othello is kind and gentle and for much of his life, was ridden by an amateur.
Now, more on Othello’s career. He is trick trained and spent about four years as an exhibition horse in Germany. His trick training was started by Cor de Jong. Othello knows how to bow, rear, and do the Spanish walk and piaffe. He used to travel to exhibitions with a group of several Friesians, and they would perform like things at the same time, and different things at the same time. Of course, he loves music.
Othello is indeed a RARE find, both in his appearance AND his training. He is a once in a lifetime fairytale Friesian who is not only very well trained but also trick trained AND he loves people and attention.
We will consider selling Othello’s custom fitted saddle and custom made set of blankets.
